Dr. Matthew Smith
Before he was a dentist, Dr. Matthew Smith trained as a classical guitarist. That creative foundation continues to influence how he approaches care—with attention to detail, a calm presence, and a deep appreciation for technique. Originally from Detroit, MI, Dr. Smith earned his Bachelor and Master of Music from Indiana University before pursuing his Doctor of Dental Surgery at Meharry Medical College in Nashville.
Today, Dr. Smith is proud to serve the city he considers home with honesty, comfort, and elevated dental care. He has a particular passion for implants, veneers, and smile design offering modern, minimally invasive solutions that truly make a difference in patients’ lives. But more than anything, he loves connecting with people, listening to their stories, and helping them feel confident in their smile again.
Outside the operatory, you’ll likely find him hiking, practicing martial arts, playing guitar, or hanging out with his dog. He can’t wait to welcome you to Capitol View Dental!
